Apple Bottoms was created by international RnB superstar, Nelly, with the intention to create a clothes line which would embrace women’s naturally curvy bodies.

In 2003 Nelly and his ‘Dream Team’ launched a US nationwide model search for ‘Apple Bottom Girls’, which was later screened on VH1. This campaign kick-started the beginning of the denim collection and the jeans sold out within two weeks. With this came the media attention and since the brand’s creation, celebrities such as Oprah, Ashanti, and Fergie, have become keen customers and have bought the Apple Bottom jeans.

With an expert team of designers paying close attention to the fact that women should celebrate and not hide their curves, Nelly describes the theory behind the brand by saying, ‘A woman should not try to fit the clothes; the clothes should fit the woman!’

Apple Bottoms has grown into a popular denim brand and as a result of the success the ‘Apple Tree’ collection has since branched into sportswear, sunglasses, swimwear, and accessories.
